Nadur Youngsters ended the season on a positive note, beating champions Zebbug Rovers to clinch the GFA Cup.

The final was an interesting match between two teams that contested the race for the Division One championship.

Zebbug failed in their bid to make it a double, although this defeat does not diminish their success in season 2003-2004.

The champions enjoyed the better start, going close to scoring with efforts by John Eboh and Silvan Galea.

On 19 minutes, it was Nadur who open the scoring with a close-range shot by Radivoi Panic following a corner action.

A minute before the end of the first half, Zebbug regained parity thanks to Galea's header following a cross by Cardona.

The game became more entertaining after half-time.

Ten minutes into the second half, Nadur were back in the driving seat when Alex Simoncic drove a low shot into the net after receiving from Panic. But two minutes later, Zebbug made it 2-2 from a free-kick by Mahjoub Touali.

Nadur took the lead for the third time in the match in the 68th minute through Panic's direct free-kick.

With only 22 minutes of regulation time remaining, Zebbug intensified their pressure in an attempt to level the scores but Nadur goalkeeper Falzon foiled attempts by Galea, Leandro and Eboh.

Boosted by Falzon's decisive interventions in the face of Zebbug's fierce pressure, Nadur made sure of the victory two minutes into injury time. Chris Camilleri secured their GFA Cup success, lobbing the ball over Rovers' goalkeeper Xuereb to give Nadur a 4-2 victory.

Referee: Clayton Pisani.
