Two Nato service personnel have died in separate attacks in southern Afghanistan.

The alliance said one service member died following an insurgent attack yesterday, while the second was killed by a bomb today.

Nato said they both died in the south of the country.

The statement did not provide further details on the attacks or the nationalities of those killed.

The deaths raise the number of international troops killed in September to 23. A total of 428 members of the international military coalition have died so far this year.
