Neglected garden

Gnien Wied Blandun has been so disgustingly neglected that a more appropriate name would be Gnien Wied Abbandun!

Ever since the two attendants' transfer some weeks ago, this once popular public garden, one of just three recreational spots in heavily polluted Paola has been lit(t)erally abandoned.

Verbal protests have been to no avail and dirt and rubbish have become rampant. Litter baskets are overflowing while rubbish dumping maniacs are having field days.

It is commendable to have beautifully flowering roundabouts and central strips but not to the detriment of our Wied Blandun Garden, please.

To local councillors and our MPs let me point out that though comparisons are odious, a visit to one of Birzebbuga's gardens did make me feel envious.
