There have recently been various proposals for projects in Valletta, such as the building of the Opera House, City Gate, St John's Co-Cathedral museum extension, underground parking, the rebuilding of the breakwater bridge, etc. Well done.

However, the localities of St Paul's Bay, Buġibba, Xemxija and their environs have been forgotten. About 10 hotels have closed down. One of them is situated on the seafront up from the main square; it has been empty for two years and is an eyesore. A yacht marina was promised about 15 years ago - can we have an update on the plans? The Salini catacombs (unknown to most) have been neglected.

The main attractions in this area are the Classic Car Museum, thanks to Carol Galea, the Xemxija nature reserve and the Wignacourt Tower in St Paul's Bay. The authorities really do need to give this area a push.
