Little price movement was witnessed in the trading of Bank of Valletta shares this week. The equity opened the week at Lm2.30, reached a high of Lm2.33 before closing at Lm2.30 again. 4,553 shares were traded over 11 deals. At the close of business yesterday best bids for 332 shares at Lm2.30 stood against best offers of 7,015 shares at Lm2.33.
Only one deal for 39 shares was registered in HSBC Bank Malta this week, passed at Lm3.999. This was a decrease of 0c1 from the previous closing price. Best bids for 4,000 shares at Lm3.94 and best offers of 851 shares at Lm4 still outstanding after yesterday's trading session.

In a company announcement issued on Wednesday Maltacom plc announced that a daily fine of Lm1,000 imposed by the Malta Communications Authority in January was appealed before the Telecommunications Appeals Board and annulled.
