Neptunes will be organising their annual summer swimming school for children aged four years and older between July 1 and September 17 at the club's fresh water pool.
Swimmers, who may choose either morning or afternoon sessions, will be split into various groups, according to ability, with special emphasis laid on teaching the correct breathing and stroke techniques.
Successful swimmers in the advanced groups, who finish the 11-week course, may continue training with the Neptunes Swimming Unit throughout the year. Last summer over 170 attended the school.
The Neptunes Swimming Unit was established nearly 20 years ago.
Some of Malta's top swimmers, who have their grassroots at Neptunes, include Gail Rizzo, the current head coach, and Angela Galea.
The waterpolo nursery, between July 6 and September 9, is organised by Charlie Mock. The objective here is to teach participants, aged eight to 14, the basics of the game.
Lessons will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Mock is also organising a goalkeeping course.
Further information and registration forms may be obtained by sending an e-mail to swimneptunes@hotmail.com or phone 9983-3053 after 6 p.m. or from Neptunes Pool office. Registration days - June 14-18 between 6.45 and 7.45 p.m.
