This was an intercultural activity involving nine schools from different regions of the Commonwealth. The project was designed to raise young people's awareness of different cultures, and to enhance their sense of acceptance and respect with diversity through an exchange of traditional, contemporary objects representing the culture of their countries.

Four Maltese schools and five from across the Commonwealth (Australia, Canada, the Maldives, Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom) participated in the project.

The four Maltese schools prepared presentations using video, Power Point and puppets. All in all, it was a multicultural extravaganza evolving from a humble shoe box.

The teachers were delighted with the outcomes and look forward to developing further projects with partners around the Commonwealth.
