Pierre Sammut of BDS Limited has attended the Apple Expo, held in Paris.
During the expo, Apple's new operating system, Mac OSX 10.2, codenamed Jaguar was officially unveiled. This new operating system, launched earlier this month, sold more than 100,000 copies in less than a week.
Mac OSX 10.2 boasts 250 new features over the previous operating system. Among the new features is iCal, an elegant personal calendar application that helps users manage their life and time better than ever before. iCal enables the user to better keep track of appointments with multiple calendars featuring at-a-glance views of upcoming activities by day, week or month. iCal is available for free download from the Apple website www.apple.com for those avant-garde users who are already using OSX 10.2 Jaguar.
Mr Sammut also attended Apple's IMC meeting during which the raw power and speed of the latest range of PowerMacs and XSERVE Servers was highlighted to those present, with a particular emphasis once again on the UNIX-based OS X 10.2 and OSX 10.2 Server.
All this cutting-edge technology can be seen and tried out locally at the Macfesta 2002 event currently being held at the Gasan Centre, Mriehel By-Pass, Mriehel.
