Bank of Valletta is launching a new lottery (DPL 84/04) with attractive prizes for users of the BoV Internet banking and other 24x7 services. Subscribers effecting payments through the bill payment facility and third party functionality, together with account holders who choose to receive electronic bank statements, will be automatically eligible to participate in this competition with a chance of winning one of two Philips compact DVD home entertainment systems drawn on a monthly basis. Lottery draws will be held on the 15th of every month between September and December.
The chances of winning increases with each payment effected through any of the BoV 24x7 channels that include Internet banking, telephone banking, customer service centre and mobile banking. Moreover, each customer account linked to the e-statement facility provides the customer with a chance of winning one of the prizes.
One of the lottery's aims is the promotion of Bank of Valletta's e-statement facility. This new service, which was introduced recently, is a straightforward and secure option that enables BoV 24x7 subscribers to receive their periodic bank statements electronically rather than through the regular post. Furthermore, this option enables customers to receive frequent statement accounts without incurring any fees.
"The concept behind our e-statement facility is two-fold," said Paul Spiteri, BoV executive head, corporate strategy. "Through the use of e-statements, customers benefit from increased efficiency and immediate access to their banking records. As soon as the statement is available, subscribers will receive a notification in their BoV Internet banking mailbox and the new e-statement can be downloaded for printing, or electronic storage on hard drive or cd. Secondly, and just as important, this new service underlines Bank of Valletta's efforts to promote environment-friendly processes."
