New bus fares

As from yesterday, bus fares in Gozo have gone up.

Trips within the same town or village now cost 7c while transport between different towns and villages costs 20c. Direct trips between Victoria and Dwejra and Victoria and Ramla l-Hamra cost 35c.

People using public transport between 5.30 and 8 a.m., as well as those working at the Xewkija Industrial Estate, from 3.45 and 4.15 p.m. will pay 13c, except on Sundays and public holidays. This could be revised at a later date, following studies of the service.

Gozitan residents in possession of the necessary documentation, issued by the Gozo Ministry, stating that they work or study in Malta, will pay 15c for transport from Mgarr to Victoria from 4 to 6 p.m. from September 15 to June 30, and from 2 to 4 p.m. on all other days.

Children aged 3-10 will pay 10c.
