New directors at Creditinfo Malta

Helga Ellul, Chris Grech, Frank Xerri De Caro, Ragnar Dyer and Karl Xuereb have been appointed on the board of directors of Creditinfo Malta as part of a drive to consolidate its position in Malta.
The new directors bring their extensive experience to the company and will contribute to its continued development at a strategic and operational level.
Ms Ellul is the managing director of Playmobil Malta but also serves as chairman of P. Cutajar & Co. Ltd. and a director of United Group.
Mr Grech is currently the chairman of the Malta Tourism Authority and served as chairman of Skytel Malta, director of Maltacom plc and director of Vodafone Malta Ltd.
Mr Xerri De Caro brings extensive experience in banking. He served as general manager operations Bank of Valletta Group and was a board member of several companies in the group. He is currently a member of the board of governors of the Malta Financial Services Authority, deputy chairman of Gozo Channel Co. Ltd, a director of Middlesea Insurance and Valletta Fund Management.
Mr Dyer is the chief information officer at Creditinfo Group. He has held executive positions in IT and marketing with Iceland Telecom and Ossur.
Mr Xuereb, who was Creditinfo Malta general manager since its inception, now takes on the responsibilities of managing director. He brings extensive experience in banking and finance and has held executive positions within Bank of Valletta Group and HSBC in Malta.
Speaking at a recent board meeting Reynir Gretarsson, Creditinfo Group CEO, welcomed the new board members.
"I am confident that the new team will contribute greatly to the strategic and operational orientation of the group in Malta," he said.
"Under the guidance of the new board the company will continue its rapid growth, introducing new products and innovations tailored for the local market. Malta was the Creditinfo Group's first overseas investment and therefore has a special significance," Mr Gretarsson said.
Since first starting up in Malta, the group has made investments in Cyprus, Romania and Lithuania and is poised to commence operations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
