Mark Miller has called a 20-strong squad for the UEFA U-21 Championship qualifying matches against Iceland (home) tomorrow and Bulgaria (away) on Tuesday.
Pietà Hotspurs' flank defender Andrew Spiteri and Dyson Falzon, the Mosta midfielder, are two new faces in Malta's Under-21 squad.
The two youngsters are still members of the Malta U-19 squad but have done enough to convince Miller that they deserve a promotion to the U-21 team for the upcoming qualifiers.
Karl Sammut (Pietà), Ian Zammit (Valletta) and Andre Schembri (Hibs) have also been confirmed on Miller's 20-man list.
Hamrun Spartans midfielder Mauro Brincat pulled out of the squad after a recurrence of an ankle injury.
