New Gozo Channel chairman congratulated

The Gozo Business Chamber has congratulated its member Joe Borg on his appointment as chairman of Gozo Channel Co. Ltd.

The chamber said it has always felt that the Gozo Channel line is the road which links Gozo to the main island as well as to the world.

"Hence, we are in total agreement that a Gozitan has been appointed to the post as such a person can better understand the difficulties faced by Gozitans wanting to cross over to Malta for work, study, health or any other reason," it said.

The chamber said Mr Borg is also in a position to understand that Gozo Channel can be one of the main pillars in helping the Gozo's economy by offering more incentives to Maltese and tourists alike to cross over to Gozo.

Mr Borg has been a member and secretary of the Gozo Business Chamber's council since its inception in 1999.
