The new president of the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association is Justin Zammit Tabona who believes that the present times call for greater vigilance from all concerned in the tourism industry to ensure that any lost ground is recovered and that a healthy influx of tourists is achieved throughout the year.
Mr Zammit Tabona thanked outgoing president Winston J. Zahra for leading the MHRA in times of significant change and for giving a sharper profile to the work of the association.
The MHRA council members are Walter G. Cassar, senior vice-president, Mario de Celis, vice-president, and George Schembri, treasurer.
The other members of the association are Joseph Attard, Ivan C. Borg, Michael Camilleri Kamsky, Anthony Chircop, Alex Incorvaja, Taziana Grech, Paul Pisani, Shawn Pisani, Rosemarie Stagno Navarra, Winston J. Zahra and James Perry Zammit.
The MHRA represents 70 per cent of all hotels in Malta and 35 per cent of all restaurants, collectively representing an investment of over Lm500 million and employing over 20,000 people.
