I believe that prior to EU accession our roads should be marked with a new type of traffic sign: two horizontally-opposed arrows denoting the use of indicators when drivers intend to turn left or right.

Although you can find this road regulation printed in the highway code, Maltese drivers seldom make use of it.

Such a sign will enhance the local traffic behaviour.
