Saviour Abela, a mechanical engineer,  has been appointed CEO of WasteServ with effect from October 1.

He worked as general manager in a construction company and, earlier occupied a senior technical post within the oilfield services sector and was a process administrator with a semiconductor company.

Ing. Abela was chosen through a public call in the past months and he has since occupied the post of CEO-Designate.

The company thanked outgoing CEO Vincent Magri for his work, which had focused on achieving sustainability in  waste management.
