The Igbo Delvelopment Union in Malta presented Destiny Chukunyere, the winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015, with a recognition award.  

Destiny was presented with the award for making the Nigerian community proud during a party to celebrate the end of 2015.  

Destiny's father, Ndubisi Chukunyere, comes from the Igbo tribe in Nigeria.

The patron of the Igbo Development Union in Malta, Nnamdi Ahunanya, said Destiny had become an inspiration to all the Nigerian communities in Malta and to Maltese children of Nigerian descent.
