The Department of Public Health said that, due to works on the main sewerage system in the area by the Water Services Corporation, bathing is not recommended in the bay opposite Wied Musa, between Marfa and Cirkewwa, until further notice.

Health warning signs indicating the exact zones involved will be mounted in the area.

No bathing should take place in all closed harbour areas, marinas and in the vicinity of sewage outfalls, including Wied Ghammieq, Ras il-Prajjet and ic-Cumnija in Malta, Ras il-Hobz, Wied il-Mielah and San Blas in Gozo and L-Imnieri in Comino.

Bathing should neither take place in areas indicated by warning signs put up by the Health Department.
