Dr Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici again drags in my name in his statements (August 13).

This is neither fair nor ethical, for I have nothing to do with CNI, and do not want to be involved with it or with Dr Mifsud Bonnici's initiatives.

He is entitled to his views, comments and conclusions. I made my perceptions very clear in an interview carried in the Malta Today of June 16, 2002, which surely Dr Mifsud Bonnici has read.

To compare Mr Mintoff's initiative to integrate Malta with Britain in the 1950s with, spuriously, integrating Malta with the European Union - if this happens - is to equate hell with heaven.
