The filming carried out by a drone (during the CABS campaign against hunting and trapping) had not caused an invasion of privacy because no one was identifiable in the footage seen by the Data Protection Commissioner.

Justice Minister Chris Said said in reply to a question in parliament that filming from a drone did not necessarily mean an invasion of privacy unless it led to direct or indirect identification of any person.

Answering a question by Nationalist MP Robert Arrigo, he said the filming by a drone, submitted to the Office of the Commissioner for the Protection of Data, had not resulted in any such identification.
