As the general secretary of CNI, I would like to assure readers and Austin Bencini (Hands Off The EU, February 13) by declaring that CNI is not affiliated with the MLP or any other party. CNI encompasses those who are against EU membership; political orientation is not an issue.

CNI does enjoy a weekly page in l-orizzont and this by no means due to any alliance with the MLP.

This only shows that l-orrizont is, to some extent, a multi-opinion read. If there is any other newspaper that will offer us a weekly page we will eagerly accept. Don't expect CNI to disable a "left hand" if the "right hand" is defunct.

We are not enemies of the EU, we just work for what is best for our country. We want our people to have the freedom of determinism, which underlies the freedom of choice. If freedom of choice worries the European Union, indeed "hands off the EU"!

All the rest of the bric-a-brac about the MLP in the article is none of CNI's concern.
