There does not appear to be an adequate place at City Gate for a shelter for horses, Urban Affairs Minister Jesmond Mugliett said in parliament yesterday.
He was replying to a parliamentary question by Nationalist MP David Agius on whether the plans for City Gate and the Valletta terminus included shelters for horse drawn cabs (karozzini).
The minister said the development plan for City Gate and the terminus was currently in abeyance. As for the shelters for horses, the minister said the "authority" had submitted various applications with Mepa for shelters in Valletta and was awaiting a reply. But no adequate place for horse shelters appeared available in City Gate.
