There will be no BOV Premier League matches next Sunday as the Malta FA yesterday officially announced a change in its fixtures list.

Saturday's matches, Msida-Hibs and Sliema-Pietà, will be played as scheduled at the Hibs Ground. However, Hamrun-Floriana and Valletta-Birkirkara were put back to next Monday at 6 and 8 p.m. at the National Stadium.

The MFA met earlier this week to discuss its programme of matches not to coincide with political activities ahead of the March 8 general elections.

The matches originally pencilled for Feb. 23 and 24 were re-scheduled as follows:

Friday, February 22 (National Stadium): 6 p.m. Floriana vs Birkirkara; 8 p.m. Marsaxlokk vs Valletta.

Monday, February 25 (National Stadium): 6 p.m. Mqabba vs Msida SJ; 8 p.m. Hibernians vs Hamrun.
