Hakuna Matata is a song from The Lion King movie whose motto. like ours, is 'no worries' for lost and abandoned animals. The animals in our care have 'no worries' for the remainder of their lives, as we are committed to caring for them as long as they live. They have Hakuna Matata in Malta.
We have drawn up a petition addressed to Minister George Pullicino. Signatures are being collected from Malta and Maltese abroad via our Website, hakunamatatamalta.org
Our animal education project was launched with the Siggiewi Primary School children adopting the animals at our sanctuary. (See Website for photos.)
Singers Mike Spiteri, his daughters and DJ Gianni Zammit, along with the children from the school are making a CD of the song; all proceeds will go to the animals' welfare.
We are inviting your readers to sign our petition and support our education project. The animals at our sanctuary are the primary educators who can help us realise the full potential of the human being as caretakers of this planet. We have much to learn from the animal kingdom.
