Oh, how I agree with John Darmanin who wrote about the unbearable aircraft noise during the September airshow operating from Luqa. While Mr Darmanin was inconvenienced in Cospicua, we residents of Paola were scared out of our wits, particularly by an unexpectedly very low show flight on the Sunday at exactly 5.48 p.m.

Walking up my village street, I literally heard screams from several houses and witnessed these two ugly black war planes looming overhead as if during a war bombardment.

The elderly in our street were particularly scared throughout the weekend.

I wish noise pollution was properly addressed in Malta.
