Nominations for PN posts

Nominations are being received for various posts within the Nationalist Party's executive and administrative committees. The nominations close at noon on Saturday.

Nominations are being received for the post of general secretary, currently occupied by Joe Saliba, the president of the executive council, currently occupied by Jean-Pierre Farrugia, as well as the post of president of the administrative council, which is currently vacant as Malcolm Mifsud, who occupied that post, recently resigned to take up the post of president of the college of councillors.

Party sources said Reggie Abela was interested in contesting this post.

The post of treasurer, currently occupied by Peter Darmanin, is also open for nominations.

The international secretary's post, occupied by Jason Azzopardi, is likely to be contested by MZPN president John Bonello, who was recently elected vice-president of the European People's Party's youth movement.

The post of assistant general secretary, occupied by Angelito Sciberras, is also open for nominations.
