Northbound Sta Venera tunnel closed after accident

Motorists urged to avoid the area

Motorists have been urged to avoid the northbound Sta Venera tunnel because of an accident.

Transport Malta said the tunnel heading from Qormi has been closed and motorists are being urged to use alternative routes.

Heavy traffic has been reported in the area.

The accident happened shortly before 10am.
