The Mellieħa Northenders were at full strength last Saturday and beat the Mustangs for the second time by more than 10 runs. This time, the score was 19-4 in just four-and-a half innings.

The starting pitchers on both sides got off to a poor start and were changed in the first inning.

Mark Buttigieg, for the Mustangs, failed to repeat his fine pitching performance against the Devils the previous week.

Mellieħa out-hit the Mustangs by seven to two in this game while the Northenders committed just one error compared to 13 for the Mustangs.

Clint Grima's top-notch pitching also helped the Northenders repel the Mustangs' offence.
