The November edition (no 1,032) of Il-Ħajja f’Għawdex has recently been issued.

This month, readers will learn about wartime casualties hailing from Nadur, concerts held in Xagħra, an international kite festival in Għarb, an art restoration in Victoria, a ‘symphony of light’ in Santa Luċija, the commemoration of the 1948 tragedy off Mġarr Harbour, the Retro Gozo Facebook sensation and the celebration of Jum Għawdex, among other topics.

Of particular interest are recent parliamentary questions tabled by Gozitan MPs and a historical article about four Gozitan deputies in the assembly that had enacted the Maltese constitution of 1921.

On the sports front, there is a report about the newly announced collaboration between the Oratory Youths football team and Torino FC Academy, and other news related to football, athletics and motocross activities on the island.

Although technically a diocesan journal, this monthly publication of about 50 pages, animated with colourful illustrations, also includes news and features on a wide range of cultural, historical and civic events and other topics, providing a highly condensed overview of life on Malta’s sister island.
