NSTS Student and Youth Travel is offering two exchange opportunities - one for a seven-day training course in Macedonia from January 31 to February 8 on promoting cultures and developing diversity, and another for a seven-day seminar in Sofia, Bulgaria, from March 4-10 on challenging stereotypes among young women.
The course in Macedonia involves meeting and exchanging experiences with people from different cultures. It aims to build intercultural knowledge, break stereotypes, and promote friendships between people of different cultures. Participants will be expected to conduct a presentation on their organisation and the culture of their country.
Participants from Malta should be Maltese nationals, aged over 18, fluent in English and preferably have youth work experience.
The topic of the seminar in Sofia is 'Young Women - challenging stereotypes'. Parti-cipation is open to men or women who are fluent in English, strong communicators, and have knowledge and experience of the subject.
Most of the participation cost is subsidised or completely covered, so delegates will only have nominal amounts to pay. For further information, contact Kirsty Pike at NSTS on 2558 8210 or by e-mail kpike@nsts.org.
