Kyrian Nwoko came off the bench to hand Michele Marcolini his first win as head coach of Malta's men's football team, as his second-half goal earned the side a 1-0 win in Luxembourg.

Nwoko's powerful 65th-minute header was enough to secure victory for Malta in this international friendly. 

It was a game of two halves, with the hosts dominating much of the first 45 minutes as they pegged the Maltese in their own half. Despite that, Luxembourg created several scoring opportunities but could not find a way past the excellent Henry Bonello in the Malta goal.
