All about the bard
Eminent Shakespeare scholar Stanley Wells, chairman of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and Globe Theatre council member, will be in Malta to throw a fresh perspective on the Bard.
His public lecture, Is It True What They Say About Shakespeare?, an initiative of the English Speaking Union, will be held on Tuesday at 6.30 p.m. at Hall E of the University's Gateway Building.
Throughout his distinguished academic career, Prof. Wells has published extensively on Shakespeare. During his four-day visit to Malta he will take part in a number of interactive sessions with sixth form students in Malta and Gozo and also with drama students.
The ESU promotes English through literature, the arts and music and also through public speaking, discussion and debate.
