The Housing Authority appeals panel has so far this year discussed 33 objections, of which 22 were refused, nine were upheld and two are pending.

The panel was set up in 2001 to ensure a fair procedure for anyone who felt that their case warranted further investigation. So far, a total of 120 cases have been discussed since its inception.

The panel's members are not involved in the decision-making process of an application.
