Croatia striker Ivica Olic tested positive for a banned substance during the Euro Championship but will be allowed to continue playing, UEFA said. Olic tested positive for methylpresnisolone after his team's match against France on Thursday in which he came on as a substitute.

UEFA's control and disciplinary committee decided, however, that Olic had not done anything wrong and cleared him to continue playing. Croatia's final Group B match is against England today.

Olic suffered a rib injury during a warm-up game against Denmark on June 5 and was given a pain-killing drug which contained methylpresnisolone. The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) was fined €6,600 for failing to comply with the correct doping procedures.
