Buoyed by the win over Qormi, Floriana will be looking to kick on in the championship when playing lowly Naxxar Lions tomorrow.

Goals from Mario Fontanella, Steve Bonnici and Andrea Scozzese handed the Greens their first three points and coach Luis Oliveira now wants the team to embark on a consistent run of results.

The Belgian said: “The three points have infused belief in my players and I hope this will have a positive effect on the team. Naxxar will be desperate for points but if we show the same kind of team play and determination as in the Qormi game, we can get another win.”

Oliveira has to check on defenders Bonnici and Enrico Pepe, who picked up knocks in training, but both should recover.

Naxxar forwards Daren Falzon and Oussou Sidoine will have late fitness tests after knocks in the 4-1 defeat to Hibs last weekend.
