I would like to thank Maltacom for delivering their new telephone directory to our neighbourhood in a most expeditious way.

Last month, the copies were literally tossed over from the street into our front gardens and left lying on the ground.

When I found the directory in the evening it had been raining for most of the day. The thin plastic covering did not prevent it from turning into a useless mass of soiled paper. Considering that our sheltered porches are barely 10 feet away from the front gates, I called Maltacom on Saturday, April 24, on telephone 8007 2333 so as to air my concerns about this unnecessary wastage.

Excellent lip service was given by a female staff member who assured me that "Maltacom would see to the matter and that they would be getting back to me as soon as possible".

After two weeks, the only Maltacom items getting back to me have been my telephone bills, news of increased local telephone rates and bad publicity in The Times by several frustrated subscribers.
