I refer to a letter by Joe Agius, entitled Oncology Day Ward (June 10). May I thank Mr Agius for his most encouraging comments. It is good to know that there are people who appreciate everyone's efforts at Boffa Hospital.

The Oncology Day Ward offers its services to cancer patients, many of whom are cured. One must emphasise the fact that this ward is not a terminal care unit. It is with this aim in mind that we strive to excel in our daily running of this hospital. In this light we also take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors, including the Malta Cancer Foundation.
