The story of a man who has managed to escape his prison sentence by pretending to be mad, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, will be brought to the stage by a cast of five actors in April.

TNT Theatre Britain will present a stage adaptation of Ken Kesey’s classic 1960s novel of the same name.

Gareth Radcliffe stars as McMurphy, the former prisoner posing as a madman. Robert McCafferty plays Chief Bromden, through whose eyes we see the drama of the mental hospital unfold.

Lucia McAnespie plays Nurse Ratched, who runs the ward, while patients Harding and Billy Boy will be played by Glyn Connop and Russell Clough respectively. Paul Stebbings directs.

McMurphy is determined to make Nurse Ratched’s life utterly miserable and the conflicts between them, at first verbal and later physical, are central to the play.
