Malta International Airport has donated Lm600 to Ir-Razzett tal-Hbiberija to assist the organisation in providing a range of services for disabled persons free of charge.

The donation was made possible thanks to an initiative taken by the MIA activities and sports club, through which the majority of airport employees donated one hour's pay.

MIA's chief executive officer Peter Bolech presented the donation to Nathan Farrugia, general manager of Ir-Razzett tal-Hbiberija.

Mr Bolech said the park deserved all the assistance it could get to live up to its mission to help persons with disabilities.

MIA further supports Razzett by using its facilities for activities such as innovative training programmes.
