Champions Sliema Wanderers will be without two key players for their next Premier League fixture against Hibernians.

Defender Jeffrey Chetcuti and midfielder Stefan Giglio were both handed one-match bans by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner and are ineligible to play in next Saturday's game against Hibernians.

Balzan Youths also had two players suspended for one match yesterday. Alex Muscat and Michael Valenzia will miss the Premier League newcomers' important clash against Hamrun on Sunday, January 4.

Leaders Birkirkara had Romanian defender Lucian Dronca banned for one match. He will skip his team's match against Floriana the coming Saturday. Coach Stephen Azzopardi was fined Lm25 after he was ordered off the bench during the Stripes' 1-0 defeat of Balzan last week.
