Zurrieq

What is being proposed for Zurrieq?
Zurrieq is a residential locality with some commercial activity. This locality is divided into various residential areas known as - Nigret, Bubaqra, Tal-Bebbux and Xarolla. The plan is proposing a comprehensive development of a relatively large site at Nigret for community, residential and recreational facilities. A number of additional recreational areas are also proposed particularly at Triq Guzeppi Mattew Callus.

The plan covers the rezoning of an area at Nigret (SMZU 01); hardstone quarries at Wied Moqbol (SMZU 02); the development of a site at Triq Guzeppi Mattew Callus (SMZU 03); a junction improvement at Blue Grotto Avenue and realignment of Triq il-Kangu (SMZU 04); the rezoning of site at Triq Bronja (SMZU 05); the rezoning of site at Triq Don Carlo DeGiovanni Inglott (SMZU 06); and the development of a site along Blue Grotto Avenue (SMZU 07).
