The Malta School of Art will be holding its annual open day at its premises in Casa Brunet, 106, Old Bakery Street, Valletta, tomorrow between 9.30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

School head Joseph M. Micallef said the aim of the event is to invite those interested in taking up a course in fine art, or in any other course run at the School of Art, to get acquainted to the practices and study pursued at the school.

Besides the studios and workshops, the public will have the opportunity to view an exhibition of works by a group of post diploma students, set at the foyer of the School of Art.

Courses at the School of Art are held in the evening between October and June. They consist of foundation studies, diploma and post diploma courses in painting and sculpture.

Courses are also provided in silversmithing, history and appreciation of art, printmaking, gilding and artistic creativity courses, which are held in the morning.

As from late August applications will be received at the evening courses section of the Department of Further Studies and Adult Education, Education Division, Floriana.
