The silent city of Mdina captured the imagination of reader Matthew Catania who shot the entrance to the Mdina Local council's majestic building through an open door in its main entrance, which he used to frame an open internal door.

Mr Catania said that he superimposed the internal courtyard and the view from a separately angled shot to permit line of sight in the final picture.
