Recently, during his brief stance as acting head of his party, Charles Mangion made a very rational statement that caught my attention. He stated that the MLP in office would be a government of opportunities not opportunism.

Since this is a bold commitment, I was wondering whether Dr Mangion could elucidate us further on the distinction between these two terms. For example doesn't he consider that inviting someone who switched party allegiance because he felt that his former party should have stopped investigations regarding an alleged case of abuse and corruption is an acute case of opportunism? Or else, what does Dr Mangion think of politicians who opportunistically make a distinction between their public and private values when an opportunity for personal gain arises.

Good to know, lest words are a medium for cheap demagogy.
