Following the successful Boosters outreach organised by sedqa in February at Bay street, a second Boosters outreach was held at Hal-Far last Friday when 13 members of staff from sedqa were present at the Faithless concert.
Sedqa believes that young people have a right to enjoy themselves without pressure to misuse substances.
Several young persons approached sedqa staff for information or to discuss specific issues. Others were interested in resuming contact after the concert.
The sedqa 24-hour free-phone helpline 151 and website were also advertised during the event through projections on the big screen.
This outreach was made possible through the collaboration of various parties, especially Fresh Music Agency.
This was the second Boosters initiative coordinated by sedqa agency and supported by HSBC Care for the Children Fund.
Further outreach initiatives will be held in summer with the aim of being available for young people in their recreational environment.
