In the third and final draw of the BOV Streets Alive Shopping Lottery, 43 Bank of Valletta cardholders won back the amount they spent, bringing the total number of winners who benefited from the lottery to 115 BOV cardholders.
Bank of Valletta cardholders who used their BOV cards when dining or shopping in Valletta between July 20 and August 24 were automatically eligible to participate in this latest draw.
BOV said merchants also stood a chance to win with the BOV Streets Alive Shopping Lottery. In fact, Mexx Company Limited, Square Deal and Taggy Tom won a travel package for two persons to a destination of their choice.
Congratulating the winners, John Pace, manager of the Acquiring Section at the BOV Cards Services Unit, said: "The BOV Streets Alive Shopping Lottery was designed to support the concerted efforts aimed at generating more business activity in Malta's capital city - Valletta. The lottery sought to add value to the BOV Streets Alive programme of events by awarding BOV cardholders while strengthening business relations with BOV merchants".
Mr Pace explained that apart from the benefits of security and convenience associated with paying by card, purchases made with a BOV Visa or MasterCard are covered by a free and automatic purchase protection insurance, which covers goods purchased against theft, loss and accidental damage.
