Over 800,000 annual sales of Toyota in Europe

Toyota's European sales exceeded 780,000 in the first 11 months of the year, continues the top Japanese carmaker's impressive sales growth.

The figure - 782,772 - includes 19,994 in Lexus brand sales. The Yaris (including the Yaris Verso) accounts for over 226,000, with the Corolla exceeding 200,000 and the Avensis 120,000. Other big sellers are the Rav4 with over 98,000 and the Land Cruiser with over 44,000.

Meanwhile Toyota is projecting a worldwide sales growth of four per cent next year to over seven million units. Most of the sales growth is overseas, where Toyota expects to sell 4.7 million.

Worldwide sales this year are expected to be up 10 per cent to 6.68 million, of which 4.46 million (+13 per cent) were achieved overseas.
