Overgrown Pietà trees need trimming

Last autumn the line of trees forming part of Msida Marina Gardens was trimmed.

However, the operation stopped there and the line of trees in Marina Street, Pietà, facing Sa Maison have been spared a trim for years. Some weeks ago a lorry with container in tow clipped a large branch while en route to the Gozo ferry. For the sake of safety and with the Papal visit only weeks away, now is the right time for the authorities concerned to deliver the long overdue trim.
