PA orders removal of structure on Buġibba foreshore

Owner tells the PA he obtained clearances from other entities

The Planning Authority has ordered the removal of a structure which sprang up recently on the Buġibba foreshore.

In a statement on Tuesday, it said that after it was alerted to the presence of the structure, enforcement officers contacted the individual responsible. He indicated that clearance had been obtained from other entities in relation to a jet ski operation.

The officers formally instructed him to remove the structure without delay. Should the structure not be removed, the authority will issue an enforcement notice.

The PA said it remains committed to upholding planning law and ensuring that all development and activities are carried out in full compliance with established procedures and permission requirements.
