A 20-year-old Libyan man was stabbed in his left leg in Wilga Street, Paceville late on Saturday, the police said.

The police said the man had earlier been attacked by three Libyans.

The man was rushed to hospital in an ambulance and was found to be in danger of dying but his condition improved a few hours later.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera is heading an inquiry.
